Thick and chunky bracelets are so fun to wear, but not always the most affordable. Here’s a bracelet that is not only easy to make, but is easy on the pocket book too.
If you’ve never made a DIY memory wire bracelet, you will find that they’re lots of fun and you can use any variety of beads. Let’s get started!
EASY DIY MEMORY WIRE BRACELET SUPPLIES:
- Beadalon Memory Wire
- Darice Turquoise Beads (6-7 strands)
- Darice Wire Cutters
- Darice Round Nose Pliers
Step 1. When making a DIY memory wire bracelet, I always recommend cutting a little more length than what you need. You can always cut off the extra when you get to the end of the bracelet. Cut about six full wrings worth.
Step 2. Bend the end of the wire with the round nose pliers, so it makes an L or at a 90 degree angle.
Step 3. Bend the wire around to create a loop. This will prevent your beads from falling off.
Step 4. Slide all of your beads onto the wire. I chose a somewhat random pattern. However, you can come up with any combination for putting your beads onto your memory wire. Try your bracelet on as you go to see if you like the look. If you don’t, it’s very easy to thread them off of the wire and to start with a different combination. I usually make all of my memory wire bracelets five solid wraps around my wrist. I like the big chunky look and five seems to be the perfect number for me.
Step 5. Try your new DIY memory wire bracelet on. See that it wraps the 5 complete times plus the end and beginning halves of the bracelet. Trim the excess off. Bend the wire to make an L or 90 degree angle. Create a loop to finish.
In no time, you have a great fashion statement that you have made and you can personalize it in so many different ways!
